Sewing Machine Operator/Seamstress
Corn Upholstery Co. is a custom furniture manufacturer with an upholstery division which seeks full-time skilled sewing machine operators/seamstress to operate industrial sewing machines. In need of a topstitch sewer to sew fabric/materials for various custom-built furniture pieces. Prior experience with upholstery is preferred but not required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Operate an industrial sewing machine to sew fabric and furniture
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Sewing pre-cut parts as instructed.
• Adding binding, zippers and various finishing hardware such as grommets, snaps and other fasteners.
• Maintain quality through attention to detail
• Be able to read shop orders and follow sewing standards
• Be able to learn quickly and maintain high level of accuracy
• Be prompt and dependable
Our facility is located in Tucker, GA which is a NE suburb of Atlanta and easily reached via I-285, I-85 and Hwy. 78.
This is a permanent position with (40) hours per week. Employee may decide to work (5) 8-hour days per week or (4) 10-hour days.
Benefits include paid holidays, paid vacation and either piece-work or hourly wage.
