CAD Designer - custom furniture
Corn Upholstery Co. is a Tucker, Georgia-based design and fabrication company specializing in custom upholstered furniture for the hospitality industry. Our work includes custom booths, banquettes, and seating for restaurants, hotels, country clubs, and commercial spaces throughout the United States.
Every project we produce is custom. Our team works closely with designers, architects, contractors, and owners to transform unique concepts into finished furniture solutions. With approximately 30 employees and dedicated upholstery, woodworking, and production departments, we combine the capabilities of a full production facility with the attention to detail of a custom workroom.
We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team and help guide projects from concept through fabrication and production.
Responsibilities
Create product designs in SolidWorks according to company requirements.
Develop detailed construction and production drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
Communicate with clients and their representatives to facilitate design and project requirements.
Work closely with production departments to engineer, fabricate, and complete customer orders.
Create additional design assignments as required by the company.
Visit job sites to obtain field measurements and verify project dimensions.
Assist in translating custom concepts into practical, manufacturable furniture solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software such as Onshape, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes, particularly woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, or furniture construction.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
Customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Experience in furniture, millwork, cabinetry, architectural woodworking, or related industries is preferred.

This is an in-person position located in Tucker, GA which is a NE suburb of Atlanta and easily reached via I-285, I-85 and Hwy. 78.
