Tufts, Channels & Patterns… Oh My!

January 15, 2016

Pulled in tufting, horizontal channels, buttons, sewn-in-grids… they are all great ways to add class and sophistication to your designs — and all things we do very well here at Corn Upholstery.

When incorporating these elements into your seating, you should be aware of the way these elements interact with the fabric patterns that you choose.

We’ve created some samples to illustrate our point, so you can see for yourself what happens when these structural design elements do not align with the fabric patterns. Patterns and structural design elements that are not aligned with each other can cause a dizzying, messy look.

Let Your Style Shine!

The best way to avoid misalignment is to simply select a solid colored fabric and let the tufts, channels, or seams shine on their own. If a fabric with a pattern is strongly desired, make sure the pattern repeat and the structural elements are in alignment. And as always, feel free to ask us for assistance.

When you choose Corn Upholstery to manufacture your custom seating, you can rest assured knowing that every piece of fabric will be artfully applied by skilled and experienced craftsmen, who always takes pattern repeat and placement into careful consideration.

To get the very best results from your design, you can trust and rely on Corn to work with you. Call us at 770-491-9368 or email us today.
